Chef Andrew Carmellini is seeking a Bartender for The Portrait Bar in The Fifth Avenue Hotel. Led by Bar Director and longtime industry veteran Darryl Chan, The Portrait Bar is an urbane, reputed company-paneled retreat where guests can enjoy sophisticated cocktails and snack on elevated bar fare by a carved stone fireplace. Ideal candidates possess: ? A minimum of 2 years of experience in Fine Dining Establishments ? Warm and gracious service approach, and the ability to create stellar guest experiences ? High level functioning and poised demeanor in busy environments ? Strong knowledge of spirits and craft cocktails, with an emphasis on European and American ingredients ? Familiarity with progressive, trend-setting & contemporary distillates and liqueurs ? Experience in bar organization & prep ? Ability to assume full responsibility for menu content and deliver excellent service ? Previous experience with POS and inventory systems ? The ability to lift 25+ pounds ?
