Role Overview

The Customer Service Analyst – Network Policy & Data Insights role sits at the intersection of risk management, data analytics, and operational excellence. You will partner with the Global Merchant and Network Services (GMNS) Functional Excellence team to design, automate, and enhance management information system (MIS) reporting, drive data‑driven decision making, and help shape the risk‑based strategy that protects both our customers and the business.

This position is based in California, USA, with a flexible work schedule that includes a blend of on‑site collaboration and remote work options. The role reports to the GMNS Functional Excellence Lead and works closely with cross‑functional partners across the globe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Automated Reporting & Analytics: Collaborate with GMNS business partners to design, develop, and maintain automated MIS reporting solutions that provide real‑time visibility into operational risk and performance.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process automation and optimization, working with the broader Functional Excellence community to implement controls that mitigate functional risk.
  • Advanced Data Analysis: Perform sophisticated data mining, pattern recognition, and predictive analytics to uncover trends, root causes, and actionable insights.
  • Risk Monitoring: Continuously track control and compliance metrics, delivering regular, executive‑level dashboards that inform risk‑based decision making.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Translate complex data findings into clear, concise reports and presentations for senior leadership, including C‑suite briefings.
  • Project Support: Contribute to high‑impact projects aimed at strengthening the control environment, risk remediation, and operational resilience.
  • Data Governance: Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all analytical outputs, adhering to arenaflex’s data governance standards.
  • Collaboration & Influence: Work across multiple time zones and functional areas, influencing stakeholders to adopt data‑driven best practices.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2‑3 years of experience in data analysis, risk management, or operational reporting within a financial services environment.
  • Proficiency with data‑analysis tools such as MS Excel, SQL, Python, SAS, or R.
  • Hands‑on experience with data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and reporting automation.
  • Strong understanding of functional risk concepts, control frameworks, and compliance monitoring.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non‑technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s in Data Science, or related).
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Hive.
  • Knowledge of the merchant services industry, payment processing, and related regulatory requirements.
  • Prior exposure to risk‑based decision making, control assessments, and compliance reporting.
