Engineer-In-Training - Roadway

DRMP is a company dedicated to delivering exceptional infrastructure solutions, and they are seeking an Engineer-In-Training for Roadway to support various transportation projects. The role involves assisting Project Managers and Engineers with engineering design tasks, performing civil engineering design, and maintaining safety standards while working in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers and Engineers with engineering design tasks for various projects
• Perform civil engineering design and associated calculations and interpret plans from other engineering-related disciplines
• Apply technical expertise and be able to work with a project team on conventional and unconventional projects
• Perform independent research and delegate changing priorities
• Adhere to Horrocks safety standards to uphold a safe and efficient environment
• Work in a collaborative team environment and deliver accurate work products that are error-free
• Maintain a professional attitude and fulfill responsibilities with integrity

Skills

• B.S. in Civil Engineering – EIT
• Passed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam
• 0-4+ years of experience in civil design is preferred. Entry-level candidates will be considered
• Have a strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
• Prioritize work to meet various project requests and deadlines, answering to various engineers and project managers
• Be able to develop designs and documentation using MicroStation ORD, Autodesk Civil 3D, or other design software
• Manage project data files from various sources
• Be proactive and responsive in effectively communicating with colleagues and clients, both in-person and virtually/remotely
• Ability to travel and perform fieldwork on occasion
• Must be able to work independently with the ability to accomplish multiple tasks, with competing priorities
