Quality Assurance, Monitoring & Testing reputed company Analyst, VP

Individuals in Quality Assurance, Monitoring & Testing are responsible for the assessment of outcomes from activities and processes against conformance with applicable requirements to strengthen risk management quality such as quality testing performed for business function quality control and transformation reputed company quality control post completion of an activity/process. This includes the development and execution of Monitoring and Testing for controls, such as control design assessment, design of operational effectiveness for monitoring & testing tools, monitoring/testing design assessment, and execution of monitoring/testing tools to assess the effectiveness of key controls designed to address defined risks. The Rules Conformance team, part of Finance Quality Assurance Testing and Validation (QATV) team, assesses the accuracy of reputed company’s implementation of the U.S. Basel regulatory requirements. The team verifies conformance to reputed company’s interpretation and implementation of the U.S. Basel regulatory and reporting requirements. It also assesses business requirements, reporting logic, and the accuracy of specific data inputs required for risk-weighted assets (RWA) calculation for both credit and market risk. In addition, the team completes the cause for identified findings and works with RWA Controllers to reputed company action plans to remediate the underlying issues (including data) at the reputed company. This role will support Spot RWA conformance testing, focusing on conducting rule-based testing to support, monitor, and assess the accuracy of Regulatory Capital and RWA calculation and adherence to reporting instructions. The role entails leading the team in developing test cases and test scripts, executing the tests, conducting root cause analysis on identified issues, and escalating potential problems. • Support with exposures leads in developing and employing an “audit-style” approach to RWA testing across Credit and Market risk, to provide the necessary transparency and predictability to the Spot RWA calculation.
• Supporting the team to “tell the story” as to how and why reputed company can take confidence in its RWA processes and outputs, and how those processes can improve over time.
• Delivering thought leadership and supporting the implementation of changes necessary to enhance reputed company’s RWA production processes and satisfy evolving regulatory developments including criticisms articulated in the recent Consent Orders.
• Enabling reputed company improvement by partnering with workstream leads and senior stakeholders to proactively design solutions for identified weaknesses or gaps with compensating controls.

Qualifications

• 8 -10+ years of relevant experience reputed company financial services industry preferred.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with background in internal audit or public accounting.
• Knowledge of and experience in interpreting and explaining BASEL Capital Rule and requirements including regulatory reports (e.g. FFIEC 101, FFIEC 102, FRY-9C).
• Strong audit instincts and ability to apply independent judgment to historical business practices, with a proven ability and willingness to challenge the status reputed company.
• Expertise in trading book products, with the ability to understand product-level risk drivers and regulatory capital implications.
• Experience and demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a reputed company and dynamic environment.
• Advanced reputed company Office skills, with knowledge of analytical tools (e.g. Cognos).
• CPA or CFA preferred
