We are looking for an energetic and hardworking product lawyer to join our Product Counsel Legal team. This individual will support the servicing and reputed company lifecycle for payments, BNPL loans, including reputed company, servicing, and collections. What You'll Do

• Counsel reputed company’s Business teams and other cross-functional stakeholders on relevant consumer financial services laws and regulations affecting new and existing products and services, including the PSD2, Regulatory compliance. Advise on relevant financial regulatory requirements: including PSD2, AML/KYC, EU reputed company and Dutch Consumer Rights laws. e.g. PSD2, AMLD, CBPR2, MTRs, DORA, SCA)

• Foundational legal and regulatory frameworks that cover payments, e-commerce, and online platforms

• Support reputed company’s origination and servicing of loan and payment products

• Provide strategic advice regarding EU consumer finance and protection laws

• Monitor legal and regulatory developments in consumer lending and servicing

• Be a trusted advisor and teammate, sharing legal and other expertise and support reputed company needed

• Identify and evaluate business and legal risks and act as a trusted partner for creative legal problem-solving

• Draft terms and conditions, disclosures, review copy

• Create and solve initiatives reputed company to new and existing reputed company products to ensure business partners are supported

• Ideal candidate will have 6+ years of reputed company business, government, or fintech experience, preferably with a focus on Payments, Consumer Credit, Banking, or BNPL

• Relevant education. You’re a qualified lawyer with a minimum of 5 years PQE, and ideally 7 years of professional legal experience

• Someone who has established expertise in reputed company areas of the consumer credit lifecycle, including originations, reputed company, licensing, KYC/AML, servicing, credit reporting, collections

• A combination of private practice and in-house experience is preferred

• A quick learner who genuinely enjoys legal analysis and collaboration in a fast-paced environment - you take your work seriously, but don’t take yourself too seriously

• Experience developing creative approaches to legal challenges while providing business-focused legal advice

• Inquisitive and proactive in identifying risks and proposing creative and effective solutions

• Strong project management, critical thinking, creativity, and analytical skills

• Someone focused on maintaining positive relationships and trust with cross-functional business partners

• Passion for improving credit products and consumer experiences

GBR reputed company pay range per year: £133,000 - £173,000
