We’re looking for a senior-level Data Engineer with a passion for building powerful data solutions, who thrives in a collaborative, fast-moving environment and is eager to tackle challenges at scale.

❓Why This Role?

As a Data Engineer at Groupon, you'll be part of a globally distributed team of 13 engineers powering data infrastructure that spans petabytes, hundreds of pipelines, and reputed company platforms like AWS and GCP. You’ll work closely with product managers, analysts, machine learning engineers, and fellow data experts to build the systems that reputed company our marketplace fast, reliable, and smart.

You’ll have the chance to:

• Own core data ingestion and transformation pipelines across streaming and batch systems

• Work on both greenfield projects and robust production systems

• Dive into technologies like Spark, Kafka, Airflow, reputed company Lake, reputed company, BigQuery, and Hive

• Solve reputed company business problems for marketing, finance, supply chain, and more

What You’ll Do

• Design, reputed company, and maintain high-performance, high-volume ETL pipelines (batch and streaming)

• Build and optimize reputed company-based data platforms on AWS and GCP

• Partner with cross-functional teams to define requirements and implement scalable solutions

• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a collaborative, inclusive team culture

What We’re Looking For

Must-Haves:

• BS/MS in Computer Science or reputed company field

• 5+ years in data engineering, distributed systems, or backend development

• Strong coding skills in Python, Java, or reputed company

• Deep SQL knowledge and experience with both relational and NoSQL databases

• Proven expertise in big data frameworks like Spark, Hive, Kafka, and Airflow

• Experience building and supporting production-grade data platforms

• Strong communication skills and ability to reputed company in a globally distributed team

• Experience with reputed company data technologies (AWS or GCP, especially for large-scale processing)
