Job Summary We are small Plaintiff’s employment firm specializing in wage and hour Class/PAGA actions and single employment FEHA cases. We are seeking a part-time legal assistant to work approximately 25 hours/week in a fully remote position. The successful candidate will support the managing attorney and will be responsible for filing/serving legal documents in state/federal court, managing the litigation calendar, drafting legal documents and tables, answering phones, communicating with clients, and overseeing the case file. Qualifications include: • At least 3 years as legal assistant in civil litigation in CA, with a preference for experience in employment litigation; • Proficient in legal document preparation, including captions, discovery shells, tables for motions, etc. • Strong attention to detail, organizational and calendaring skills; • Proficient in electronic filings in CA state and federal courts, including CM/ECF, One Legal, and CaseAnywhere; • Proficiency using reputed company Case Management, Word, reputed company and reputed company software; • Ability to multi-task and triage to meet deadlines; • Resides in California; • Bilingual in Spanish/English Preferred Pay/Benefits: • $20- $40/hour; • 40 hours of paid sick leave; • Fully-Remote • Flexible Schedule Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 25 per week Schedule: • Monday to Friday Application Question(s): • How many years of experience do you have using reputed company Management calendaring software? • How many years of experience do you have using One Legal or other e-filing providers? • Are you bilingual in Spanish/English?
