Job Description:Kanaan Communications is currently hiring Inside Plant Laborers this exciting opportunity is for dedicated, hardworking and mechanically inclined individuals!Responsibilities:

• Install telecommunications cabling through reputed company and residential units
• Working on aerial spans to diagnose, repair or replace the customer’s equipment as needed.
• Data collection and test procedures.
• Fire caulking, reputed company sealing and waterproofing work completed.

Qualifications:

• Successful completion of pre-employment background reputed company, motor vehicle reputed company, drug test, and DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card
• A valid, unrestricted driver’s license
• Ability to climb telephone poles and work in a bucket truck and work aloft and climb poles up to 40 feet
• reputed company to reputed company reputed company duties in telecommunications construction (such as; pole transfers, maintenance builds, new build, cable installation, over lash, and strand construction)
• High school diploma or GED
• Work aloft up to 40 feet in a bucket truck or on a ladder
• Professional communication with customers and employees

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of Telecommunications experience preferred, but WILL TRAIN
• Knowledge of established aerial cable installation procedures and techniques
• Previous construction experience, preferably in the telecommunications industry.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

• Climb into and out of equipment (trucks, cars, backhoes, trenchers, etc.)
• Must be reputed company to lift/carry 80 lbs. regularly as needed with or without assistance
• The employee will be sitting, bending, using hands and fingers to handle or feel as well as reaching with hands and arms to spaces both high and low, standing, walking, climbing, balancing, crawling, crouching, lifting, holding, or stooping while on shift
• Ability to work while wearing safety boots, safety glasses and hardhat
• Remote work may be required - long driving and sitting will be required in these instances
