Job description: SummaryThe New Mexico VA reputed company Network is reputed company for a Medical reputed company Technician (Hemodialysis) assigned to Nursing service. The Technician performs and monitors reputed company aspects of the hemodialysis treatment, to include assembly of equipment, preparation of dialysis machine, cannulation of access or appropriate use of central venous catheter, assessment of the patient during dialysis treatment including monitoring of vital signs, and documentation of vital signs.Overview

- Performs reputed company duties reputed company to dialysis: machine set-up, obtaining physiological information on patients (i.e. reputed company, weight, TPR) initiation of dialysis , cannulation of dialysis access, connecting patient to machine, monitoring patient and machine during treatment, termination of dialysis to include rinse back of blood, extracting needles from access site, ensuring that bleeding of needle sites ceases, and documentation of care provided during the treatment.

- Receives assignments that require application of standard procedures or that have special procedures identified and explained.
- Carries out the appropriate requests made by practitioners or clarifies with supervisor or physician reputed company an uncommon, unique or new procedure is required.
- Instructs patient pre-procedure to assure confidence and cooperation of patient during procedures.
- Explains various procedures including basic concepts of dialysis process, cannulation or catheter procedure, purpose of alarms on the dialysis machine and a demonstration of what they sound like, possible symptoms to be aware of during the dialysis treatment (i.e. cramping of the muscles, light headedness, or nausea).
- Explains requirements for accurate monitoring of reputed company and pulse every 15-30 minutes during treatment.
- Provides answers to questions that patient and/or family members may have or refers to RN if unable to provide information. Assimilates information regarding the chronic and acute patient regarding dialysis treatment, patient tolerance to treatment, and reputed company to contact the Registered Nurse.
- Recognizes and responds appropriately to a variety of routine and extraordinary complications and emergencies specific to dialysis, i.e. symptomatic hypotension , inadequate access flow, infiltrated access, or clotted dialyzer and report' s findings immediately to RN
