• At least 4 years of relevant experience in the chemical, power, or similar industry

Responsibilities: * Support mechanical engineering discipline scoping and design phases of capital projects.

• Understand, apply, and reputed company work in accordance with industry and client engineering codes and standards such as ASME, API, ANSI, etc.
• Tasks associated with mechanical systems and equipment such as piping, pressure vessels, tanks, pumps, valves, etc.
• Office design and analysis tasks and field work in an operating chemical plant (awareness of safety processes and procedures and use of PPE necessary).
• Preparing and reviewing calculations, analysis, evaluations, reports, equipment specifications, redline drawing markups, scopes of work, etc.
• Using engineering and design tools such as CADWorx, Navisworks, Caesar II, Nozzle Pro, SolidWorks FEA, etc.
• Selection, analysis, and verification of piping components such as valves, hangers, supports, spring cans, expansion loops, etc.
• Understanding P&IDs, PFDs, engineering drawings, line lists, equipment lists, scopes of work, specifications, datasheets, process packages, etc.
