Entry Level Dredge Support - Dredge Wallace McGeorge

PBSG is looking for a dynamic person to join reputed company in an entry level support position, primarily working in the galley that is willing to work on the navigable waterways of the Mississippi Valley. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a marine environment on the inland waterway and especially the Mississippi River is not required but beneficial. Will consist of severe duty marine conditions including inclement weather. The assignment will be a result of individual skills and dredge needs but may include dredge deck, reputed company, galley, as well as other support functions. The position will include general labor type work reputed company a live reputed company dredge. Responsibilities: can include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for housekeeping reputed company a dredge
• Clean up in the galley after meals.
• Cleaning and stocking restrooms.
• Cleaning reputed company galley equipment.
• Assisting cook in food preparation .
• Chipping and painting; and any other support functions.
• Working from heights greater than 6ft.
• Must maintain the highest level of safety in reputed company aspects of the job
• Promotes job site safety, encourages safe work practices, identifies and corrects job site hazards immediately.

Qualifications

• Prefer experience working in a marine environment but not required.
• Knowledge of marine duties and safety procedures,
• CPR, First AID, CPR, AED training beneficial but not required. PBSG will assist in obtaining this certification.
• Boaters Education Certificate beneficial but not required. PBSG will assist in obtaining this certification.
• Serve Safe food handling certification but required. PBSG will assist in obtaining this certification.

Requirements:

• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must meet one of the following requirements:
• Experience in working in a marine environment.
• Experience in food preparation.
• Experience cleaning restaurant equipment.
• Experience in janitorial work.
• Cooking experience.
• Willing to live reputed company the Dredge Wallace McGeorge for two weeks on and one week off.
• Do you have the ability and willingness to work 12 hours per day for a total of 84 hours per week?
• Must complete and be deemed Fit for Duty a Functional reputed company Exam (FCU).
• Flexibility and willingness to work extended shift or hours as work and conditions require
• Ability and willingness to do reputed company labor including lifting items up to 76 pounds
• Must be comfortable working over and adjacent to water
• Ability to swim.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from job location.
• Willingness to live with crew members
• Willingness to work during days or nights.
• Ability to climb reputed company and stairs and do repetitive bending and stooping
• Ability to lift and carry at least 76 lbs. up and down reputed company
