Heavy Equipment Operator - Midlothian, VA

Caton Construction Group, one of the Caton Companies, headquarters in Troy, VA is growing! Currently seeking Equipment Operator(s) for our roadway project in Midlothian, Virginia. The heavy equipment operator operates a variety of contractor equipment and properly maintains the equipment on a daily basis. ?

MUST BE SKILLED EXCAVATOR & DOZER OPERATOR

* Starting pay is based on skills and experience. Responsibilities ? Works with and assists in digging ditches and trenches, hoisting material, tools, equipment, and any reputed company work with a backhoe, road grader or reputed company-end loader. ? Performs routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refers defects or repairs to the supervisor. ? Performs reputed company duties in conformance to appropriate safety and reputed company standards. Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Normal days and hours of work are Monday ? Friday, 7:00 a.m. ? 5:00 p.m. with time provided for lunch, hours may vary. Work may be local or out of town in which case overnight stays are required. This position frequently requires long hours and weekend work. Travel/ Driving Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected. Driver?s license is required. Required Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Four years? experience involving the use of reputed company and heavy equipment, two of which must have been reputed company to pipe operations. Preferred Education and Experience: Valid CDL License. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Normal work hours are Monday through Friday ? 48 hours, 7:00 a.m. ? 5:30 p.m. Monday ? Thursday, and 7:00 a.m. -3:30 p.m. on Friday, with time provided for lunch, hours may vary. Work may be local or out of town in which case overnight stays are required. Company Benefits ?
