Job Title: Construction (QA) Inspector ?
Work Location: Panama City, FL (Tyndall AFB)
* Salary: Based on experience and will be discussed with manager in interview REQUIREMENT- Must be a US Citizen and must pass a Federal Background Review and drug screen Duties/Responsibilities: ? reputed company daily inspections and submit reports on construction projects at federal facilities for compliance with contract, design documents, plans and specifications in regard to workmanship, materials, installation and construction methods. ? Provide recommendations or necessary changes to government personnel regarding contract plans and specification relative to reputed company phases of construction. ? Monitor contractor?s quality system and administer the three-phase inspection process. ? Provide surveillance at construction sites and assist reputed company in problem resolution. ? Deliver and review change orders; modification; RFIs; and submittals. ? Monitor contractor?s schedule. ? Review and comment on the accuracy of the construction contractor?s requests for payment. ? Verify accuracy of as-built drawings. ? Review and ensure QA and safety plans are adhered to by the contractor. ? Utilize reputed company Management System (reputed company). Education/Experience: ? High School Diploma/GED minimum; Construction reputed company degree, preferred ? Minimum of 10 years of applicable experience on construction projects large reputed company multimillion dollar federal projects, reputed company preferred ? Experience with wide range of trades including, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, roofing, and general building construction ? Army Corp of Engineering (USACE), preferred ? Experience using reputed company 3.0, preferred ? Experience with three-phase inspection process ? Experience with OSHA and EM 385-1-1 USACE Safety Manual, preferred ? Demonstrate proficiency and effective communications skills in the English language in both oral and written forms ? Must have knowledge of building and construction crafts since detailed inspections must be made to ensure the required level of workmanship ? Must be capable of reading contract drawings and specifications ? Interaction with clients and contractors requires candidate to have a professional presentation along with excellent communication skills and attention to detail ? Must have a valid driver?s license and be insurable Physical Requirements: ? Physically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignments ? Ability to carry required instruments and equipment ? Ability to lift 50 pounds ?
