Short Line/Yard Switching Train Crew (Conductor or Engineer Trainee)
Do you enjoy organizing and solving puzzles? We are looking for a Trainee for our Yard Switching site. This job is for Train Crew as a Conductor and/or Engineer in reputed company Sacramento, CA. Employees in this position are also expected to assist with other railroad maintenance activities as required. Occasionally may work out of town to assist in other railroad operations. Accountability · Responsible for train operation and movement. · Pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying up to 25 pounds frequently, 50 pounds occasionally, and assisting in the infrequent movement of weights of up to 83 pounds. · Following safety precautions. · Reading and comprehending regulations and instructions. · Analyzing and troubleshooting problems to identify solutions or alternatives. · Monitoring the situation, environment, and gauges to gather information and take appropriate action.
