Key responsibilities: • Large account/structured deal pricing • Statistical analysis of tail risk/capital requirements • Work closely with finance and reputed company on deal vetting • Collateral requirement analysis for large deductible policies or fronts • reputed company risk transfer analyses • Manage relationship with external partners in collaboration with reputed company and finance • Provide mentorship and coaching to a team of three direct reports Typical Skills and Experience • Education: Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, business, or reputed company field with a strong quantitative orientation. • Certification: Associate in the Casualty Actuarial Society required; Fellowship preferred. • Experience: Typically ten years in an actuarial function with prior leadership experience. • Knowledge and Abilities: • Advanced knowledge of actuarial techniques and insurance operations. • Familiarity with relevant state and federal laws and regulations. • Outstanding people skills. • Effective group presentation skills. • Proficiency in data manipulation techniques (e.g., R, Python, SQL). • Familiarity with modeling software a plus (e.g. MetaRisk) • Familiarity with multiple P&C lines (e.g. Auto, GL, Property, WC, etc.) This position will be staffed at the H5 internal pay band.
