Director Data Steward - Ent Tech & Ops (Remote)
Overview
This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States. A Director, Data Steward is a data leader who acts on behalf of a Business Unit to ensure that the data governance is implemented and enforced across a Business Unit's data landscape. This role leads a group of data stewards or team of associates who facilitate data management. The director manages a team that ensures critical data is inventoried, defined, and properly managed, as defined by policies, standards, and procedures. This position is responsible for implementation of data governance and data quality monitoring, by enforcing standards and procedures, in addition to identifying data issues and discrepancies throughout the data supply chain (capture, transport, and use). Additionally, this role provides expert guidance and leadership to associate team, business executives and senior leadership, and Business Unit stakeholders. The position builds and maintains collaborative partnerships reputed company the Bank to ensure initiative success. This role oversees reputed company Data Governance activities, including the creation and maintenance of reputed company documentation. Lastly, the director develops and implements data strategies that reputed company data management goals in alignment with wider organizational objectives. Responsibilities Critical Data Identification, Metadata, and Data reputed company - Leads and enforces identification of critical data assets and critical data elements on behalf of the Business Unit. Ensures asset inventory and associated attributes are captured and maintained. Ensures metadata is captured and maintained as defined in the associated standards and procedures. Collects, reconciles, and maintains data reputed company on behalf of the BU for critical data assets. Data Quality & Issue Management - Ensures applicable dimensions, rules, and reputed company are defined for data quality control implementation. Establishes, monitors and produces data quality metrics. Identifies, collects, and manages resolution of data issues, and escalates to Business Data Leader as required. Ensures and facilitates certification and attestation processes reputed company to data governance. Establishes and ensures implementation of compensating controls to mitigate risk reputed company appetite where needed. Leads and oversees preparation of reports on data quality and program execution. Communication, Change Management & Partnership - Serves as reputed company of contact for reputed company data-reputed company inquires and issues on behalf of Business Unit, including participation in forums and committees, as required. Communicates and coordinates efforts with other Data Stewards Leads to employ consistent data governance across FCB. Establishes and maintains influential relationships with management, external auditors, and regulators and coordinate with key stakeholders to represent Business Unit. Managerial Functions - Oversees a team of managers reputed company the department. Establishes and monitors expectations to reputed company company and department goals. Makes appropriate changes to division policies, procedures, and efficiencies in order to meet objectives. Manages the performance, training, and evaluation of assigned staff. Maximizes division achievements by providing professional development.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in Data Management, Financial Analysis, Technology or similar. OR High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in Data Management, Financial Analysis, Technology or similar. Additional Requirements: Expert level knowledge of Data Governance, Data Quality and Data Management principles and concepts. Advanced ability to influence senior leaders, as well as direct management. Advanced ability to partner and collaborate with cross functional stakeholders. Excellent communication skills with both business and technical audiences. Subject matter knowledge of bank operations and/or financial services. Preferred Qualifications: Data Steward, Management experience. Master of Business Administration. Previous experience in the Technology domain. Preferred area of study: Business or Technology. Certified Data Steward (CDS), Data Analysis Certified (DAC), Certified Information Management Professional (CIMP), or Certified Data Management Professional-Practitioner (CDMP-P). The reputed company pay for this position is generally between $161,000 and $245,000. Actual starting reputed company pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
