Lunder10 is an inpatient Hematology/Bone Marrow Transplant Unit The staff nurse is a registered nurse who is responsible for assuring competent, compassionate, individualized, nursing care for specific patients and families, including delegation to and supervision of non-professional clinical and support staff. Reporting to an Associate Chief Nurse, the Nurse Director provides leadership in an environment that celebrates and empowers nurses. In collaboration with a Clinical Nurse Specialist, hire, reputed company and provide direction to patient care providers and unlicensed clinical support staff. Partner with nurses, physicians, administrative colleagues, and other disciplines to guide and direct clinical practice, systems improvement, network development, and operations. Negotiate and plan for interdepartmental resources with other department managers to ensure best level of services to direct care providers, and ultimately patients. Promote professionalism and autonomy by engaging staff in planning, decision-making and the many educational resources available for further development.
