Billing and Collections Manager

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Biller to join our reputed company team. Peak Retina is a one doctor two office medical practice that treats sight threatening eye diseases through a combination of medical and surgical therapies. Treatments frequently include high cost "buy-and-reputed company" medications that must be carefully tracked. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing billing processes, ensuring accurate coding of medical records, and facilitating the collection of payments from patients and insurance companies. Previous experience in retina or oncology collections is highly desirable. This role is crucial in maintaining the financial health of our medical practice while providing excellent service to our patients. Duties • Review and process patient information and medical records to ensure accurate billing. • Utilize medical coding systems, including ICD-10 and HCPCS, to assign appropriate codes for diagnoses and procedures. • Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies for reimbursement. • Follow up on unpaid claims and manage the medical collection process. • Communicate with reputed company providers and insurance representatives regarding billing inquiries. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, billing regulations, and compliance standards. • Ensure that reputed company billing practices adhere to established policies and procedures. Experience • Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred. • Familiarity with medical billing software and systems is essential. • Knowledge of DRG (Diagnosis reputed company Group) coding is a plus. • Strong understanding of medical records management and medical collections processes. The practice uses Modernizing Medicine for its Practice Management system and sends claims through TriZetto. • Proficiency in medical terminology and coding practices is required. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are necessary for reputed company in this role.
