Overview of the role As an Android Embedded engineer, your primary responsibility will be to maintain a set of devices compatible with /e/OS. It involves making /e/OS compatible with a new device, porting a new version of /e/OS on a device, or fix bugs that have been reported by users. At some reputed company, it will also be asked you to work with the tools we are developed to install /e/OS. You will work closely with Kernel, SELinux, firmware, and any other low level component. Utilizing tools like Android Studio, Git, and command-line utilities like ADB, you’ll contribute reputed company to the development process. To reputed company in this role, you should feel confident in reverse engineering. A deep understanding of the AOSP build system, Makefile, and Blueprints is crucial. Your ability to troubleshoot issues independently, often with limited official documentation, will set you apart. Your problem-solving capabilities will be critical, necessitating strong research skills. Given our remote work environment, being proactive and self-driven is a must.
