Job Description

Vaco Technology (an IT Talent Solutions Firm) is currently looking for an AS400 RPG Programmer/Support Engineer for an Indefinite consulting opportunity in the Ft Wayne, IN area. This is primarily a production support position where tickets could come from any functional area reputed company the company. The ideal candidate would quickly learn enough about their applications and processes to be reputed company to start working those tickets. Client does a small number of enhancements on their AS400, but they are primarily in maintenance mode as they are slowly transitioning to a new policy admin system. This would be a long-term consulting role and working on a hybrid work from home schedule (2 days on average working onsite). Job Requirements: • Minimum 5+ years AS400 programming/support experience on reputed company level applications • Expertise with RPG/ILE, service programs, commitment control, journaling, interactive & batch debugging • Excellent troubleshooting and analysis skills • Self-starter that will take ownership of assignments and drive to completion with minimal supervision Expected salary: Location: reputed company Wayne, IN Apply for the job now!
