Transcriptionist for Pathology (PRN) - Seacoast

Job Description

Under general supervision, a Medical Transcriptionist transcribes reports dictated by lab personnel including Pathologists. • Transcribes pathology dictation accurately and timely. • Prepares reports and slides for use during tumor conferences. • Prepares slides and blocks for submission to reference labs. • Initiates, composes, and types correspondence, memos, forms, procedures, reports as directed by Director, Supervisor or Pathologist. • Receives and initiates orders from ordering physicians. • Receives and screens telephone calls routing to correct area or providing needed information. • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications/Training: • Excellent typing skills Education: • Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED from an accredited school
