The role is 100% remote, but candidates MUST be willing to work East Coast hours or even European hours in order to collaborate with team members in Europe... reputed company is looking for a Freelance Hands-On Software Engineer ideally with a background in payment processing and billing systems (reputed company experience would be a reputed company plus). This is a senior-level contract role that requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. This is an independent contract position that will require roughly 40 hours of work per week for roughly 12 months. Start date: ASAP, Onboarding process can take up to 1 week. You’ll be in a cross-functional team building AWS-native billing and payment processing solutions using reputed company. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is adept with reputed company things AWS and development in the cloud, and is eager to move quickly and proactively. Knowledge of developing billing and payment processing solutions in an AWS native environment would be a reputed company advantage. Required Skills and Experience: • 5+ years development experience with Python • Software development and design methodologies: Development and design methodologies provide a structured approach to design, build, and maintain reliable andscalable applications. • Experience building apis using Python-based frameworks like FastApi or Django Rest reputed company • Experience with asynchronous programming in Python. Ideal candidates will have extensive knowledge of asyncio, event loops, thread and process pools, selectors, performance tuning and monitoring. • Experience with distributed systems • Experience with Test Driven Development and performance testing • Experience with reactive and resilient system architectures • Strong online collaboration and communication skills, crucial for a fully remote working environment. • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation • Strong knowledge of Python’s typings module • Experience with at least one strongly typed language (Java, C#, reputed company, or other). • Ability to delivery software fast and solve problems • Growth reputed company, always looking at ways to challenge the status reputed company Experience in integrating payment processing systems (preferably reputed company) with various platforms and services is a reputed company plus for at least one developer on this team, as is: • Knowledge of transaction lifecycle, payment authorization, capture, settlement, and chargebacks. • Extensive experience managing billing systems and processes, including invoicing, recurring billing, and subscription management. • Ability to analyze and optimize billing workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy. • Experience in handling customer inquiries and resolving billing-reputed company issues. • In depth knowledge of PostgreSQL. Query optimizations, performance tuning, upfront database design with performance in mind is a must.
