Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Design, program, and implement lighting and energy‑reduction strategies that align with corporate sustainability goals.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including construction, facilities, and IT—to share data, tools, and best practices.
  • Analyze client and business requirements, translate them into actionable work orders, and oversee their successful completion.
  • Develop, document, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for building control systems.

Technical Leadership & Innovation

  • Lead advanced troubleshooting initiatives, applying sophisticated programming techniques to resolve high‑impact issues.
  • Execute complex programming projects that modify or enhance existing building control architectures.
  • Identify patterns in alerts, alarms, and work orders, and proactively develop corrective actions.
  • Provide expert guidance to peers on adapting to new technologies, regulatory changes, and emerging industry trends.

Client & Partner Advocacy

  • Ensure the safety and comfort of customers and partners by delivering proactive solutions that minimize service costs.
  • Offer timely, high‑quality support and advice, guaranteeing that project timelines and quality standards are met.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, communicating complex technical concepts in clear, client‑focused language.

Data‑Driven Decision Making

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to energy usage, system uptime, and incident resolution.
  • Report findings to senior leadership, recommending strategic adjustments based on data insights.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience with building automation systems (BAS), HVAC controls, or similar technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to program and configure control systems (e.g., PLCs, DDC, BACnet, Modbus).
  • Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of using data to solve operational problems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating technical details for non‑technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Building Automation Systems (BAS) credentials.
  • Experience in a large‑scale retail or commercial environment, preferably with remote or multi‑site responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with sustainability initiatives, LEED certification processes, or corporate ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) programs.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and scripting languages (Python, PowerShell).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high collaboration standards.
