Position Overview

We are seeking a meticulous, detail‑oriented Remote Data Entry & Payroll Specialist to join arenaflex’s Finance & Payroll team. The role is based primarily in the Philippines, but you will collaborate with colleagues across APAC—including Korea, Australia, and India—through a fully remote work model. Your primary mission will be to manage end‑to‑end payroll processing for assigned APAC countries, maintain data integrity in our HR systems, and provide exceptional support to employees via our ticketing platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Payroll Processing: Execute full‑cycle payroll for assigned APAC entities using a third‑party payroll provider, ensuring accuracy and adherence to local statutory requirements.
  • Data Entry & Validation: Enter, verify, and update employee data in Workday HCM and related spreadsheets with a focus on precision and zero‑error tolerance.
  • Onboarding & Off‑boarding: Prepare and post payroll changes for new hires, terminations, and internal moves; coordinate timely submission of required documentation to the payroll provider.
  • Expense Management: Process weekly expense reimbursements through Workday host‑to‑host integration, ensuring compliance with company policy.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Generate monthly, quarterly, and year‑end payroll reports; support tax filings and statutory submissions for each jurisdiction.
  • Employee Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll‑related inquiries via the Zendesk ticketing system, delivering clear, courteous, and prompt resolutions.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with the Philippines and Singapore finance teams, as well as global HR partners, to align payroll processes with broader organizational initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance data quality, and reduce processing time, contributing to a culture of operational excellence.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on payroll and accounting experience within a BPO, shared services, or multinational environment.
  • Demonstrated experience processing APAC payroll, specifically for countries such as Korea, Australia, and India.
  • Strong knowledge of APAC statutory payroll regulations, tax obligations, and compliance reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Practical experience using Workday HCM or similar HRIS platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional APAC language proficiency is a plus.
  • High degree of organizational skill, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

  • Certification in Payroll (e.g., Certified Payroll Professional, Global Payroll Certification).
  • Experience with third‑party payroll vendors and service level agreement (SLA) management.
  • Familiarity with Zendesk or other ticketing systems for employee support.
