About arenaflex – Pioneering Healthcare Data Innovation

arenaflex is a leading force in the private‑sector healthcare ecosystem, dedicated to transforming raw data into actionable insights that improve patient outcomes and drive operational excellence. With a nationwide footprint and a culture that champions curiosity, collaboration, and continuous learning, arenaflex empowers its employees to make a tangible impact on the future of health services. Our remote‑first strategy enables talent from across the United States to join a dynamic, mission‑driven team without geographic constraints.

Why This Role Matters

As a Senior Data Analyst on the arenaflex Health Analytics team, you will be at the heart of a data‑centric transformation initiative. You’ll partner with cross‑functional experts—including data scientists, business intelligence engineers, platform architects, and clinical stakeholders—to design, build, and maintain the data foundations that power our Health Quality Improvement program. This role is a unique blend of technical rigor, analytical storytelling, and strategic influence, offering you the chance to shape the way millions of patients experience care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Pipeline Architecture: Design, develop, and operationalize multi‑layered data pipelines that feed analytics and reporting solutions across arenaflex Health.
  • ETL/ELT Development: Write, tune, and maintain robust SQL‑based ETL/ELT scripts that extract, transform, and load data from diverse internal sources and external feeds.
  • Data Modeling & Warehousing: Create logical and physical data models, ensuring they align with business requirements and support scalable analytics workloads.
  • Data Integration: Apply best‑practice data ingestion techniques to consolidate large data sets from internal production systems, on‑premise databases, and third‑party health data collections (e.g., claims, pharmacy records, HEDIS reports).
  • Tool Development: Build internal utilities that automate data processing, quality assurance, and validation tasks, reducing manual effort and increasing reliability.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Partner with business analysts, product owners, and external partners to translate technical solutions into clear business value.
  • Performance Monitoring: Implement monitoring and alerting mechanisms to ensure data pipelines meet SLAs and maintain high availability.
  • Documentation & Governance: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data flows, transformation logic, and data lineage to support governance and audit requirements.
  • Travel: Occasionally travel up to 5 % of the time for on‑site meetings, stakeholder workshops, or industry conferences.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on experience developing and maintaining data pipelines in a production environment.
  • Proven expertise in writing, optimizing, and debugging complex SQL‑based ETL/ELT scripts.
  • Experience with modern data warehouse platforms such as arenaflex (formerly known as Snowflake) and arenaflex (formerly known as Databricks).
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement data models that support both transactional and analytical workloads.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a track record of presenting technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining high levels of productivity and collaboration.
  • Willingness to travel up to 5 % of the time for business purposes, both within and outside the state.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Data Management Certified Associate (DMCA) or equivalent certification.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy, medical services, and clinical research terminology.
  • Experience with business intelligence visualization platforms such as arenaflex (formerly PowerBI) or arenaflex (formerly Looker).
  • Exposure to healthcare data standards, including HEDIS and ECDS.
  • Prior involvement in financial services data projects, providing insight into cost‑optimization and risk‑management analytics.
  • Demonstrated leadership in cross‑functional project teams, including mentorship of junior analysts.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced SQL, data modeling, ETL/ELT design, and familiarity with cloud‑based data platforms.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to dissect complex data problems, identify root causes, and propose scalable solutions.
  • Collaboration: Comfortable working with diverse stakeholders—data engineers, clinicians, product managers, and external vendors.
  • Problem‑Solving: Proactive approach to troubleshooting data quality issues and performance bottlenecks.
  • Communication: Clear articulation of technical concepts, creation of concise documentation, and effective presentation skills.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a fast‑changing environment, quickly learning new tools and industry standards.

Career Growth & Learning Opportunities

arenaflex invests heavily in the professional development of its team members. In this role, you will have access to:

  • Mentorship from senior data architects and industry veterans.
  • Sponsored certifications (e.g., DMCA, cloud data platform credentials).
  • Internal training labs covering advanced analytics, machine learning fundamentals, and healthcare compliance.
  • Opportunities to lead high‑visibility projects that influence corporate strategy.
  • A clear promotion pathway from Analyst to Senior Analyst, Data Engineer, and eventually Data Architecture leadership roles.

Compensation, Perks & Benefits

arenaflex offers a competitive total rewards package that includes:

  • Base salary of $75,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
  • Performance‑based bonuses tied to project milestones and business outcomes.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage for you and eligible dependents.

  • Generous paid time off, holidays, and flexible work‑hour arrangements.
  • Remote‑work stipend covering home‑office equipment, internet, and coworking space access.
