Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative and Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, you'll play a crucial role in our healthcare information management ecosystem:

  • Process patient enrollment information with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring all data entries comply with state and federal guidelines
  • Handle high-volume patient medication requests while adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining data security protocols
  • Enter refill orders accurately into our pharmacy systems for processing, maintaining a high standard of data integrity
  • Research and obtain missing prescription information, effectively interpreting clinical abbreviations (SIG codes)
  • Resolve all data entry related exceptions through thorough investigation and correction
  • Manage patient communication through multiple channels including inbound calls, chats, and emails
  • Make outbound calls to prescribers and patients as necessary to resolve information gaps
  • Handle third-party exceptions by reviewing cases, gathering information, making corrections, and resubmitting for processing
  • Communicate with insurance providers and other entities to obtain information, gain override approvals, or resolve third-party exceptions
  • Provide support to pharmacists across various locations, identifying and escalating issues when necessary

Essential Qualifications

To excel in this role at arenaflex, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Basic computer skills including system navigation, file management, and document processing
  • Intermediate keyboarding skills (minimum 25 WPM) with touch-typing ability
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimum age requirement of 18 years
  • Proficiency with web browsers and online forms
  • Ability to work independently while adhering to established protocols and procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry tasks
  • Basic understanding of healthcare terminology and processes

Preferred Qualifications

While we provide comprehensive training, candidates with these qualifications will have a competitive advantage:

  • Minimum of one year of pharmacy technician experience in retail or call center environment
  • One and a half years of pharmacy technician experience with state board registration or nationally recognized certification
  • Experience providing customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Advanced keyboarding skills (minimum 35 WPM) with document formatting capabilities
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English
  • Familiarity with pharmacy management systems and healthcare data platforms
