arenaflex is a global leader in e‑commerce, cloud services, and digital innovation. With a workforce that spans continents, we empower millions of customers every day by delivering fast, reliable, and personalized experiences. Our data‑driven culture fuels continuous improvement, and we are constantly looking for talented individuals who can turn raw information into actionable insights. As a remote‑first organization, arenaflex offers flexible work arrangements, cutting‑edge technology, and a collaborative environment where every voice matters.

Why This Role Matters

In today’s fast‑moving digital marketplace, the ability to collect, cleanse, model, and analyze data is a strategic advantage. As a Data Science & Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, you will be at the heart of our data pipeline, ensuring that the information flowing through our systems is accurate, timely, and ready for advanced analytics. Your work will directly influence product recommendations, inventory optimization, fraud detection, and the overall customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including product managers, software engineers, and business analysts—to map out end‑to‑end data workflows.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated data ingestion pipelines that pull information from a variety of sources (APIs, CSV files, databases, web scrapers, etc.).
  • Perform rigorous data cleaning, validation, and transformation using SQL, Python, and other scripting languages to ensure data integrity.
  • Build and iterate on statistical and machine‑learning models that address concrete business problems such as demand forecasting, pricing optimization, and customer churn prediction.
  • Develop dashboards and visualizations that translate complex analytical results into clear, actionable insights for non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Continuously monitor data quality metrics, identify anomalies, and implement corrective actions to maintain high‑quality standards.
  • Document data pipelines, model assumptions, and analytical methodologies to promote reproducibility and knowledge sharing across the organization.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends in data engineering, AI/ML, and cloud technologies, and proactively recommend improvements to existing processes.
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to a culture of learning by sharing best practices, code reviews, and technical workshops.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, or Engineering.
  • Technical Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with data querying languages (e.g., SQL) and programming languages (e.g., Python). Experience with statistical programming languages such as R, SAS, or MATLAB is a plus.
  • Machine Learning Exposure: At least 3 years of experience applying machine‑learning algorithms and statistical models in a production environment, including familiarity with tools like scikit‑learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
  • Data Pipeline Development: Proven ability to design, implement, and automate robust data pipelines that handle large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong problem‑solving skills with a track record of translating ambiguous business challenges into clear analytical solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to convey technical concepts to non‑technical audiences through written reports, presentations, and visual storytelling.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in a quantitative field (Statistics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, etc.).
  • Experience working in a large‑scale technology organization or a fast‑growing startup environment.
  • Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data warehousing solutions (Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake).
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines for data engineering.
  • Knowledge of data governance, privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA), and best practices for secure data handling.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Data Manipulation: Expertise in SQL, Python (pandas, NumPy), and data cleaning techniques.
  • Statistical Modeling: Ability to build regression, classification, clustering, and time‑series models.
  • Automation: Proficiency with workflow orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow, Luigi, or Prefect.
  • Visualization: Experience creating compelling dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
  • Collaboration: Strong teamwork orientation, comfortable working in agile sprints and cross‑functional squads.
  • Continuous Learning: Demonstrated curiosity and commitment to staying current with evolving data technologies.
