Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Clinical Pharmacist at arenaflex, you will be responsible for executing comprehensive patient care programs and ensuring the highest standards of clinical pharmacy practice. Your primary duties will include:

  • Medication Therapy Management: Conduct thorough medication reviews and assessments to ensure safe, effective, and appropriate drug therapy. Analyze patient profiles and medication histories to identify potential drug interactions, contraindications, and opportunities for therapy optimization.
  • Patient Care Program Execution: Implement and drive direct patient care programs, including Drug Treatment Management programs, Vaccination Services, Payer and Pharma Adherence programs, and Clinical Projects. Ensure all programs align with established clinical guidelines and best practices.
  • Clinical Consultation: Provide expert clinical consultation and information to patients, physicians, and insurance plans as needed. Address medication-related questions, provide therapeutic recommendations, and offer guidance on complex drug regimens.
  • Patient Interaction and Support: Engage with patients through telephone and electronic communications to answer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide sound therapeutic advice. Use exceptional interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with patients.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations, as well as company policies and procedures including HIPAA guidelines. Maintain quality standards in clinical documentation and patient records.
  • Business Performance: Drive pharmacy financial performance by executing patient intervention programs that maximize reimbursements while improving patient health outcomes. Contribute to achieving business goals and objectives.
  • Training and Support: Provide expertise, resources, training, and support to pharmacists and field management. Participate in staff training initiatives and promote collaborative teamwork within the organization.
  • Continuous Improvement: Evaluate and analyze clinical processes and outcomes, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Conduct audits and maintain accurate records to ensure the precision and propriety of medications and clinical interventions. Provide feedback on program effectiveness and patient satisfaction.
  • General Duties: Perform other duties as assigned that are consistent with the responsibilities of this position and directed by management.

Required Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following essential requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.), or equivalent degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Licensure: Current, valid Pharmacist license in good standing as granted by the appropriate state licensing authority. Candidates must be eligible to obtain licensure in the state of assignment.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a pharmacy setting with demonstrated ability to provide excellent patient care and customer service. Experience working with confidential information and maintaining patient privacy is essential.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with computer operating systems, including Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Strong ability to navigate software systems and learn new technology platforms quickly.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, healthcare providers, and team members.
  • Time Management: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Availability: Ability to work non-standard hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes, including intra-state and out-of-state travel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Multi-State Licensure: Ability to obtain and maintain pharmacist licenses in multiple states, if required by the position.
