Role Overview – Entry‑Level Remote Data Analyst (Part‑Time)

We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Data Analyst to join our Customer Support Analytics team on a part‑time, remote basis. In this role, you will be the steward of global customer support dashboards and reports, translating raw data into actionable insights for internal stakeholders and external vendor partners. You will work closely with the arenaflex Data Insights group, vendor partners, and cross‑functional teams to ensure data integrity, develop compelling visualizations, and support strategic decision‑making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dashboard Creation & Maintenance: Design, build, and sustain global customer support dashboards in BI tools such as Scene, Power BI, and Tableau, ensuring they reflect real‑time metrics for internal teams and vendor partners.
  • Data Migration & Integration: Partner with the arenaflex Data Insights team to migrate legacy dashboards into modern data visualization platforms, guaranteeing seamless data flow and consistency.
  • Data Extraction & Analysis: Extract, cleanse, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources (e.g., CRM, ticketing systems, product logs) to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies in customer support performance.
  • Vendor Support & Issue Triage: Provide Level‑1 assistance to vendor partners on data queries, collaborate with data engineering teams to resolve data quality concerns, and document resolutions for future reference.
  • Training & Enablement: Educate internal users and vendor partners on best practices for interpreting dashboards, creating ad‑hoc reports, and leveraging data to drive operational improvements.
  • Documentation & Governance: Maintain comprehensive documentation, including data dictionaries, report definitions, and standard operating procedures, to promote transparency and reproducibility.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work alongside product, engineering, and operations teams to understand reporting requirements, define key performance indicators (KPIs), and align data solutions with business objectives.
  • Executive Reporting: Prepare and present periodic executive‑level summaries that highlight key insights, trends, and recommendations to inform strategic decisions.
  • Process Optimization: Develop and implement repeatable processes for dashboard upkeep, data validation, and reporting automation, continuously improving efficiency and accuracy.

Essential Qualifications

  • Completed at least one year of post‑secondary education in Mathematics, Statistics, Business, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline, OR equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of hands‑on experience in data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence, preferably within a customer support or operations environment.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Scene, Power BI, Tableau, or Looker, including the ability to craft interactive dashboards and drill‑down reports.
  • Strong foundation in data manipulation using SQL, Python, R, or similar languages, with a demonstrated ability to work with large, complex datasets.
  • Experience in data cleaning, transformation, and validation to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
  • Solid understanding of reporting best practices, KPI development, and the ability to translate business questions into analytical solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to convey technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
