Work from home Full-time role Hiring

Join arenaflex: Where Compassionate Patient Care Meets Flexible Remote Practice

Are you a licensed pharmacist seeking a rewarding career that combines clinical expertise with the freedom of remote work? arenaflex is expanding its telehealth and digital pharmacy operations and is looking for a dedicated, patient-focused Staff Pharmacist to join our innovative team. This is more than a job — it is an opportunity to shape the future of community-based pharmaceutical care while enjoying the convenience and balance of a work-from-home position.

arenaflex is a forward-thinking organization committed to delivering accessible, high-quality healthcare solutions to communities across the nation. Our mission is to bridge the gap between patients and the medications, counseling, and clinical services they need to live healthier, fuller lives. As a member of our remote pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in dispensing prescriptions accurately, providing expert medication counseling, conducting clinical health services, and supporting our mission to elevate the patient experience from a transactional encounter to a meaningful, relationship-driven partnership.

Position Overview

The Remote Staff Pharmacist at arenaflex is responsible for ensuring the accurate compounding, administration, review, and verification of prescribed medications in full compliance with regulatory guidelines, company policies, and established procedures. Working from a secure home office, you will provide telephonic and digital patient consultations, perform drug utilization reviews, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. This role supports the efficient workflow of the pharmacy and assists leadership in identifying opportunities to enhance financial performance, inventory management, and the overall patient journey.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Experience and Engagement

  • Proactively engage with patients through virtual channels, greeting them warmly and offering assistance with products, services, and clinical inquiries. Resolve patient issues promptly to ensure a positive and reassuring experience at every interaction.
  • Model and share customer service best practices with all team members, demonstrating the interpersonal habits and service values that define arenaflex — including active listening, empathy, inclusivity, and a commitment to following through until every patient need is fully satisfied.
  • Anticipate patient needs and proactively offer services such as medication therapy management, prescription consultations, immunization scheduling, and diagnostic testing information, supporting arenaflex's mission to evolve pharmacy practice from transactional to relational care.
  • Participate in and contribute to community outreach events and initiatives that reflect the unique communities served by arenaflex, as directed by pharmacy leadership.

Clinical and Operational Tasks

  • Counsel patients on proper medication use, potential side effects, drug interactions, contraindications, privacy protections, generic alternatives, cost-saving options, and over-the-counter product recommendations. Refer to clinical providers as appropriate to ensure safety and satisfaction.
  • Execute core pharmacist functions including prescription compounding, medication therapy reviews, verification, and comprehensive medication management.
  • Review, interpret, and accurately dispense prescribed medications in accordance with all applicable regulations and company protocols.
  • Ensure the pharmacy operates in strict accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as arenaflex's internal policies and quality standards. Assist the Pharmacy Manager in designing procedures that promote efficient workflow, role clarity, scheduling, and continuous improvement.
  • Apply the Good Faith Dispensing policy in conjunction with all state and federal controlled substance laws when filling prescriptions, ensuring full compliance at every step of the product review and retail fill process.
  • Maintain current proficiency with pharmacy information systems, including workflow software, prescription fulfillment platforms, billing systems, clinical documentation tools, training modules, inventory management, and point-of-sale technology. Continuously seek innovative ways to enhance productivity.
  • Process insurance claims accurately, resolve patient issues, prevent claim rejections, follow up with insurance carriers and providers, and participate in third-party audits as required.
  • Communicate with prescribers' offices to clarify prescriptions, dosages, refills, interactions, and allergy concerns, recommending alternative therapies when appropriate and answering clinical questions.
  • Deliver clinical and wellness services such as immunizations, diagnostic testing, and chronic disease state management in alignment with state-specific protocols and credentialing requirements.
  • Support the Pharmacy Manager in analyzing performance data — including financial metrics, customer service scores, and inventory protection strategies — to drive informed decision-making and operational excellence.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the local medical community, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare providers, while participating in outreach activities that promote the pharmacy and contribute to community wellness.
  • Partner with centralized support teams for patient enrollment, issue resolution, and patient concern management. In virtual environments, conduct thorough product reviews following all arenaflex standard operating procedures.

People and Performance Leadership

  • Assist the Pharmacy Manager with staff hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training. Reinforce performance standards through coaching, constructive feedback, customer service monitoring, and professional development support.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment by setting clear expectations, recognizing achievements, monitoring progress, and inspiring a shared vision of patient-centered excellence.

Training and Self-Development

  • Maintain active pharmacist licensure and all required credentials, certifications, and immunizer authorizations in accordance with federal and state regulations.
  • Stay current on pharmacy and healthcare developments by reading professional journals, company publications, and industry communications. Pursue best practices that elevate individual and team performance.
  • Complete all required certifications, continuing education credits, and training modules as mandated by arenaflex, including immunization certification, clinical service training, and compliance updates.
  • Actively seek professional growth by self-evaluating performance, soliciting feedback, and leveraging pharmacy leaders as mentors and coaches.
  • Communicate relevant corporate health, wellness, and service updates to pharmacy staff to ensure alignment and consistent messaging across the team.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current and active pharmacist licensure in the state of residence, with the ability to obtain additional state licenses as required by arenaflex's service area.
  • Demonstrated experience performing prescription dispensing activities with a strong working knowledge of relevant state and federal controlled substance regulations.
  • Current Immunization Certification, or willingness and ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection, a private and secure home office environment, and comfort working with digital communication and pharmacy platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a licensed pharmacist in a retail or community pharmacy setting, including prescription filling and verification, regulatory and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems, and insurance billing.
  • Experience with telehealth, telepharmacy, or remote patient consultation platforms.
  • Multistate licensure or the ability to quickly obtain licensure in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Strong familiarity with medication therapy management (MTM) programs, clinical documentation, and value-based care models.

Core Skills and Competencies for Success

  • Clinical Acumen: Deep knowledge of pharmacotherapy, drug interactions, contraindications, and evidence-based treatment guidelines.
  • Communication Excellence: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex medical information in accessible, empathetic language.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous accuracy in prescription verification, data entry, and regulatory documentation.
  • Patient-Centric Mindset: Genuine passion for patient wellness and a commitment to delivering compassionate, individualized care.
  • Technology Fluency: Comfort with pharmacy management systems, EMRs, video conferencing tools, and remote collaboration platforms.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving telehealth environment and adjust to changing regulations and workflows.
