Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust analytical frameworks that support product, marketing, and operations teams.
  • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) structured and unstructured data from a variety of sources using SQL, Python, and R.
  • Perform advanced statistical analyses—including t‑tests, chi‑square, ANOVA, regression, survival, and factor analysis—to uncover trends, causal relationships, and growth opportunities.
  • Build interactive dashboards and visualizations with tools such as Looker, MicroStrategy, Tableau, Plotly, and Matplotlib to communicate findings to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Partner with product managers, engineers, and senior leadership to translate business questions into analytical solutions and data‑driven recommendations.
  • Lead end‑to‑end analytics projects, from problem definition and data acquisition through model development, validation, and deployment.
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the development of best practices for data governance, documentation, and reproducibility.
  • Continuously monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide proactive alerts when metrics deviate from expected patterns.
  • Support A/B testing frameworks and experiment design to evaluate new features, content strategies, and marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify data gaps, recommend data collection enhancements, and improve overall data quality.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a data analyst or data scientist in a fast‑paced, data‑intensive environment.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in SQL and at least one of the following programming languages: Python or R. Demonstrated ability to write complex queries, build data pipelines, and perform large‑scale data analysis.
  • Statistical Expertise: Hands‑on experience applying inferential statistics, predictive modeling, and experimental design to real‑world business problems.
  • Visualization & Reporting: Proven track record creating compelling visual narratives using Looker, MicroStrategy, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to senior leadership and non‑technical audiences.
  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset, capable of building trusted relationships across product, engineering, marketing, and finance teams.

  • Background in the entertainment, media, or streaming industry, understanding of content recommendation systems and subscriber lifecycle metrics.
  • Knowledge of marketing attribution models, funnel analysis, and growth hacking techniques.

  • Professional certifications (e.g., Google Data Analytics, AWS Certified Data Analytics, Certified Analytics Professional).
