The Opportunity

arenaflex is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Customer Service Specialists to join our growing team in Cedar Falls, IA. This full-time position offers a unique hybrid work arrangement, combining office collaboration with remote flexibility. As an inbound customer service specialist, you'll be the voice of arenaflex, building meaningful relationships with customers while resolving their inquiries and challenges with professionalism and expertise.

Your Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Specialist at arenaflex, you'll play a vital role in our customer experience ecosystem:

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships by responding to a high volume of inbound phone calls with professionalism and empathy
  • Collaborate daily with both customers and internal sales team members in a dynamic team-based environment
  • Effectively navigate and utilize multiple computer programs simultaneously while maintaining productivity
  • Resolve customer challenges through comprehensive resource utilization for account selection, product identification, order placement, and order management
  • Address pricing and invoicing discrepancies, apply appropriate credits, and implement efficient return procedures
  • Continuously expand your product knowledge to provide accurate and helpful information to customers
  • Document customer interactions and resolutions in our customer relationship management system
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance customer service efficiency

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed as a Customer Service Specialist at arenaflex, you'll need:

Essential Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience in a professional setting
  • Ability to commute to our facility at 827 Fisher Drive, Waterloo, IA 50701
  • A secure, dedicated workspace at home suitable for professional job activities
  • Proficiency in operating and navigating multiple PC-based programs simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent listening abilities
  • Ability to sit for extended periods (up to 8 hours per day) while performing computer-based work
  • Stable internet connection with ability to provide proof of speeds greater than 5 megabits per second upload, 15 megabits per second download, and ping less than 80 milliseconds

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a call center or customer service environment with high call volume
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and customer relationship management software
  • Basic knowledge of distribution or industrial products
  • Experience with order processing and inventory management systems
  • Ability to work effectively in both independent and team-oriented settings

Work Environment & Schedule

At arenaflex, we understand the importance of flexibility in today's work environment:

  • Schedule: Enjoy your weekends off! This position follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Central Time
  • Training: Our comprehensive 8-week onsite training academy provides all the knowledge and tools needed to excel in your role
  • Equipment: On your first day, you'll receive a laptop, dual monitors, keyboard, and all necessary accessories to support your work
  • Hybrid Work: After completing training, eligible team members can enjoy a hybrid work environment of three days onsite and two days working remotely
  • Flexibility: You can earn additional opportunities to work from home up to 5 days per week through our performance-based flexible work program
  • Shift Options: Eligible team members can participate in a bidding process for alternate work shifts to better accommodate personal schedules
