Clinical Administrative Assistant | Hospice Care Team
Superior Hospice is dedicated to providing compassionate support for patients and families during significant life moments. They are seeking a Clinical Administrative Assistant to coordinate clinical operations, support communication, and ensure seamless patient care.
Responsibilities
- Support clinical operations through coordination, scheduling, communication, and organization
- Prepare materials and assist with IDG meeting coordination and team support
- Participate in daily stand up/down meetings and maintain EMR census updates
- Ensure admissions, transfers, discharges, and care updates are accurately documented
- Coordinate communication between physicians, facilities, patients, families, and hospice team members
- Assist with physician orders, care plans, and EMR documentation workflows
- Support billing coordination, coding review, and clinical documentation processes
- Process DME requests and assist with supply and inventory management
- Organize patient records while maintaining HIPAA compliance standards
- Assist with operational initiatives and provide support wherever needed
Skills
- High School Diploma required
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Someone who is dependable, compassionate, organized, and energized by supporting others
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple departments
- Associate degree or additional healthcare education preferred
- 1–2+ years of healthcare or clinical administrative experience preferred, ideally within hospice, home care, or healthcare environments
- Familiarity with EMR systems and Microsoft Office
- Medical terminology knowledge preferred
