Litigation Assistant
Keller Postman LLC is a law firm that represents a diverse range of clients in complex litigation matters. They are seeking a Litigation Assistant to provide high-quality administrative support to attorneys and paralegals in a fast-paced environment, ensuring tasks are executed with a high level of attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Use software to transcribe, revise, and finalize a wide variety of legal documents accurately. This includes dockets, binders, tabs, exhibits, and tables of contents
- Prepare and file time-sensitive documents with various state and federal trial and appellate courts, including through the federal ECF system
- Provide guidance on the categorization and organization of firm and client files, including the formulation and implementation of standard naming conventions and practice-specific checklists
- Perform a variety of file maintenance tasks for paper and electronic files in compliance with the firm’s policies. This includes creating files, documenting filing instructions, and retrieving files when necessary
- Assist attorneys and paralegals with non-billable fact gathering, research, data review, and data entry
- Provide general administrative support to attorneys such as maintaining contacts and tracking requirements and activity related to CLE and bar memberships
- Serve as the primary contact for vendors and managing the vendor/platform list
- Prepare and process outgoing mail and faxes, arranging for specialized mail or messenger services as required
- Work collaboratively with a team on various overflow projects such as preparing for filings, hearings/trials, and depositions
- Assist, prepare, and manage various printing requests for client matter projects
- Coordinate with other areas/departments within the firm to develop efficient procedures/communications to streamline processes
- Other duties as assigned

- 1-5 years related experience required
- At least associate degree required
- Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English
- Experience using the federal courts' ECF system
- Bachelor's degree
