Mortgage Loan Processor I
Elevations Credit Union is a member-owned not-for-profit financial institution serving Colorado’s Front Range. The Mortgage Loan Processor’s primary responsibility is to develop and drive an amazing customer experience for members by ensuring accurate, compliant, and complete loan files while meeting scheduled deadlines and closing dates.
Responsibilities
- Review new loan submissions within 24 hours of receipt
- Order Verification of Employment, appraisal, title, etc
- Submit a clean file to the Underwriting and closing teams, ensuring that all required documents are present, and the Loan Origination system is filled out in its entirety
- Work with the Loan Officer/Loan officer assistant team to obtain underwriting conditions and submit them back for a clear to close within 24 hours of receiving all the required conditions
- Oversee daily volumes, monitor Pipeline, and assist in meeting service level standards
- Collect and verify all documentation required such as member documents, Title work, credit supplements, fraud reports, homeowner’s insurance, tax transcripts and verifications of employment (VOEs), Verification of Mortgage (VOMs), Verification of Deposit (VODs), and Verification of Rent (VORs), income documentation, etc
- Proactive and timely communication to members and business partners on loan decisions and underwriting guidelines
- Adheres to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations governing the Credit Union, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
- Review new loan submissions within 24 hours of receipt
Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience
- Strong PC skills (MS Office) required
- Knowledge of federal lending regulations governing residential real estate lending
- Recent and consistent experience with all GSE investors, DU, LP and Preferred
- Associates degree preferred
- Technical knowledge relating to mortgage banking compliance, FHA, VA, Conventional and FNMA guidelines a plus
- Recent experience with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac
- Experience working with Encompass
