Healthcare Strategy Associate - Hybrid NY
Healthfirst is a healthcare management organization seeking a highly motivated Healthcare Strategy Associate to support strategic initiatives and analytical efforts within a managed care environment. This role involves conducting analyses, managing projects, and collaborating across teams to inform decision-making and drive initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses using Excel to support business and strategic decisions
- Manage and track projects end-to-end, including timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder coordination
- Assist in developing and executing strategic initiatives across the organization
- Perform research and synthesize insights on healthcare policy, regulations, and industry trends
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams including Sales, Marketing, Clinical, Provider, and technical teams
- Assist with preparing presentations using PowerPoint
Skills
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience
- 1-2 years of experience in consulting, healthcare, managed care, or a related field
- Strong proficiency in Excel (e.g., modeling, data analysis, pivot tables)
- Familiarity with healthcare managed care concepts
- Experience conducting structured research and synthesizing findings
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple priorities simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to facilitate resolution to issues
- Medicare and/or Medicaid managed care experience
- Masters Degree (i.e MHA, MPH, MBA, etc.)
- Exposure to data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Experience with healthcare policy research
- Experience working with large datasets
