Software Engineer
Robinhood is a company focused on democratizing finance for all, and they are seeking a Software Engineer to help shape the future of their core platforms and products. The role involves designing and executing test plans for mobile and web applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to high-impact decisions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test strategies for user-facing mobile (iOS/Android) and web applications
- Perform manual and automated testing to validate functionality, and correctness of product features
- Develop and maintain automated end-to-end test suites for mobile and web applications
- Execute regression, functional, and exploratory testing to ensure high-quality user experiences
- Validate integrations between frontend applications and backend services, APIs, and data sources
- Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using bug tracking tools
- Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and designers to provide test feedback throughout the development lifecycle
- Support release testing and production readiness activities, including P0 product launches
- Maintain and improve existing test frameworks, automation infrastructure, and test coverage
- Follow quality engineering best practices related to test design, documentation, and release validation
Skills
- Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Applied Mathematics or a related field (or foreign equivalent) and one year of experience in the job offered or related occupation
- Mobile application testing
- Web application testing
- Manual and automated testing
- Appium, Selenium, or Playwright
- API testing (RESTful services)
- Python or Java
- Defect tracking and test management tools
- Background checks required
