[Remote] SQL Analyst (Contract)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Cleartelligence is seeking a seasoned SQL Developer / Analyst to join their team and take a leading role in implementing robust data solutions for clients. The role involves designing, developing, maintaining, and optimizing SQL, pipelines, databases, and related applications within the accounting domain, while collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and design comprehensive accounting data requirements to facilitate the seamless automation of journal entries, ensuring accuracy, completeness, compliance, and efficiency in financial processes
- Work cross functionally with Technical Accounting, Operational Accounting, Engineering, Product, Finance, Tax, Legal, and various business owners on policies, processes, and programs, and help drive key system initiatives and improvements
- Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and views for data extraction, transformation, loading, and reporting
- Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to understand data needs and provide data engineering support for analytics initiatives
- Ensure data quality and implement data validation and cleansing techniques
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring data accuracy and availability
- Stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices in data analysis and recommend enhancements to existing systems and processes
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including data flow diagrams, data dictionaries, and process documentation
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- MUST have in-depth knowledge of SQL and experience writing complex queries
- MUST have experience in the Finance/Accounting domain and/or regulated industries
- Experience in development: Data modeling and analysis based on business requirements
- Strong customer facing presentation, problem-solving and analytical skills is required
- Excellent communication with ability to collaborate cross functionally
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced & ambiguous environments
- Relevant certifications are a plus
- Proficiency in Snowflake development tools and architecture a plus
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and dimensional data modeling is a plus
