The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in the Acting Emphasis, advise reputed company, supervise student's creative activities, facilitate community reputed company and direct plays for the University Theatre's Mainstage season. Responsibilities include but are not limited to acting coaching, voice coaching and or movement coaching. The person in this position is expected to advise and coach actors for professional auditions, graduate school, and acting internships. They may direct classical theater, musical theater, or contemporary plays for the University Theatre. Other courses in the Acting Emphasis include Voice and Speech for Performance, Stage Dialects, Musical Theatre and Movement for Actors. Demonstrated ability to teach several of these courses is preferred. During the first two years of appointment, new faculty teach 9 WTUs (3 courses) to support scholarly and/or creative activities. Required Experience: * Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching at the undergraduate level or equivalent professional experience in acting and/or directing.

Preferred Experience: * Demonstrated record of reputed company in Classical Theatre, including Shakespeare.
