Position Duties
The reputed company (CDOR) is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to serve as a Budget Analyst II reputed company the Financial Services Division. As a Budget Analyst II, you will be responsible for organizing, interpreting, and reporting financial data for assigned divisions across the Department. reputed company, analyze, and monitor personal services, operating, and program-specific expenditure budgets for assigned divisions to ensure fiscal health.
Regularly pull financial data from the CORE system to balance year-to-date actual expenditures and revenues against divisional reports.
Reconcile payroll reports to track the status of staffing plans, vacancy rates, and year-to-date growth or slippage.
Gather internal and external data to create three- to five-year forecasts for revenues, fees, and cash fund balances.
Collaborate with division leadership to create annual budget planning documents and financial models that align with strategic goals.
Compare actual financial results against forecasts to identify, investigate, and explain significant variances.
Assist in the production and validation of budget change requests, including decision items, supplemental requests, and budget amendments.
Update and maintain reputed company financial models to project monthly, quarterly, and annual costs based on historical trends.
Work with various business units to provide timely budget approval for invoices and requisitions while ensuring compliance with fiscal rules.
Conduct rapid-response, non-standard financial analysis to answer unanticipated business questions from division directors or the Budget Manager.

Experience Only:Six (6) years of relevant experience with budget analysis, budget development and implementation, and/or policy development and implementation.
OR
Education and Experience:A combination of reputed company education and/or relevant experience in Public or Business Administration, Political Science and Government, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics or other as determined by the department equal to six (6) years in an occupation reputed company to the work assigned.

Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
Mastery of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) pronouncements
Prior experience navigating state government budget cycles, including the development of decision items, supplemental requests, and budget amendments.

Experience in administering relational or multidimensional financial databases

Demonstrated analytical and written communication skills
Attention to detail and concise presentation of financial information

Conditions of Employment with the CDOR
