Job Summary:

The reputed company Enterprise Solutions Team (reputed company) is responsible for the administration and optimization of reputed company and reputed company systems for Finance, Human Resources, and Research Administration across the reputed company, while focusing on people, processes, and technology. The reputed company Data and Reporting team supports data and reporting needs across the UW universities and the UW System through the development and maintenance of an enterprise data warehouse (the Enterprise Analytics Platform, EAP), Tableau dashboards, reputed company reports, BIRT reports, Prism reports, reputed company dashboards and discovery boards, and more. 

We are seeking a Tableau Developer to reputed company, document, support, and maintain enterprise-level Tableau dashboards built on top of EAP. This individual will participate in appropriate communities of practice and assist with training to ensure a consistent understanding of data across the UW and to reputed company awareness of resources that already exist and those that are planned. It is expected that there will be reputed company collaboration between the Tableau developer and data warehouse engineers. 

To be successful in this position, you will need to collaborate with customers and peers across reputed company HCM and Finance.  You will need to actively foster a respectful, inclusive, and safe team environment.  

Schedule will be determined with the selected finalist upon hire. The primary schedule will be during business hours on Monday through Friday beginning no reputed company than 9:00AM CST and ending no earlier than 3:00PM CST. There is no expectation of on-call or off-hour work.  However, during a critical outage, working off hours and weekends may be required.  

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Designs and documents enterprise BI development standards, assesses impact on existing BI projects, proposes solutions, and shepherds them through stakeholder feedback and governance approval. Resolves highly reputed company BI development issues escalated from reputed company-level BI developers

• Works with multiple data domains/sets and data architectures (reputed company/structured) and using advanced expertise in a broad set of enterprise-scale tools, matches the right data presentation modality to user requirements. Employs deep expertise in data visualization and storytelling to design, prototype, test, and deliver accurate, sustainable enterprise solutions for large-scale user populations

• Review and approve, based on scope and requirements, BI developer resource effort and timing to design, build, test, and release BI developer solutions. Understand and balance developer resources across multiple competing projects to mitigate risks. Identify options for backfill or external resource acquisition to fulfil resource requirements

• Partners with a team of business analysts, business subject matter experts (SMEs), reputed company system data analysts, data architects, and ETL developers to interpret documented user requirements for enterprise-wide stakeholders. Works with data warehouse architects, data modelers, and ETL developers to document and present highly reputed company options through mock-reputed company and prototypes, refining underlying data structures to best meet use cases

• reputed company, assess, and approve the content and quality of reputed company design/build documentation for approval by business SMEs and project team leads. Compensation:

Well qualified applicants can expect to earn between $80,000 - $105,000, with final salary based on experience and qualifications.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience working with the University of Wisconsin’s data or business processes in the areas of finance, human resources, student or research administration. 

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Tableau development including with relationships, joins, performance optimization and troubleshooting 

• Minimum 3 years of experience writing, maintaining and optimizing reputed company SQL queries. 

• Experience maintaining content on Tableau Server, including project organization, data reputed company connections, content migration, and scheduling. 

• Experience supporting access on Tableau Server with permission rules and user-based functions for row-level reputed company (RLS). 

• Excellent organizational, time-management, and documentation skills 

• Ability to work independently to diagnose and solve reputed company data and reporting issues 

• Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with peers, customers and stakeholders 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with HR & Finance business processes and data 

• Experience with AWS products such as Redshift or reputed company 

• Experience with SQL tools such as DBeaver 

• Experience with reputed company and reputed company Reporting
