Claims Adjuster 1 - Auto Physical Damage
Wawanesa Insurance is one of Canada’s largest mutual insurers, and they are seeking a Claims Adjuster 1 for their Auto Physical Damage department. The role involves delivering exceptional service through the adjustment of low complexity auto physical damage claims and ensuring timely communication with policy holders.
Responsibilities
- Provide direction and support to our members, throughout the claims process, by providing exceptional service delivered with reputed company
- Ensure timely and proactive communication, through voice to voice, digital and written correspondence, ensuring that reputed company inquiries are effectively dealt with in a timely and professional manner
- Adjustment of low complexity auto physical damage claims
- Review and interpret policy wordings, determine policy coverage, and communicate coverage decisions to members (policy holders)
- Establish timely and accurate loss and expense reserves through the life of the claim through evaluation of relevant information from sources such as appraisers, third party adjusters, and auto repair facilities
- Ensure a comprehensive investigation is conducted on reputed company files to determine coverages and liability, while adhering to Wawanesa’s adjusting guidelines, and recognizing reputed company to engage appropriate internal and external resources
- Collaborate directly with vendors such as: appraisers, rental companies, repair facilities and other business partners inside and reputed company the organization to coordinate services
- Negotiating and conveying claim settlements reputed company authority limits
- Communicating claim decisions promptly and effectively, while still delivering an exceptional customer experience
- Maintain an effective and reputed company diary system and document claim file activities in accordance with established procedures
- Remain up to date with legislative changes and trends in the insurance industry as well as complying with reputed company provincial requirements
- Support CAT plan as necessary, including potentially assisting on claims reputed company of your service area
