Responsibilities
- Handle patient inquiries regarding billing and account status
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits
- Process payments and set up payment plans
- Generate and send patient statements
- Follow up on unpaid claims and outstanding balances
- Coordinate with insurance companies to resolve claim issues
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families
- Explain billing processes and insurance coverage
- Address patient concerns and escalating issues as needed
- Accurately enter patient information into the billing system
- Maintain detailed records of reputed company interactions and transactions
- Prepare reports on account statuses and collections
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements
- Maintain patient confidentiality and data reputed company
- Participate in training on compliance and privacy policies
Skills
- High School Diploma/GED
- At least 1 year(s) of experience in Healthcare billing or customer service
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate
- Associate's Degree in healthcare administration or reputed company field
- At least 3 year(s) of experience in reputed company cycle management or medical billing
- Certified reputed company Cycle Representative (CRCR) from HFMA
