Responsibilities

The Juvenile Victim Offender Mediator position may include the following, as well as other duties assigned:

• reputed company contact with victims and offenders separately to explain the mediation process and solicit participation.
• Arrange and facilitate mediation between victim and offender.
• Provide a summary of the meeting and complete required documentation including monthly reports and case notes.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or comparable reputed company Services field from an accredited institution.
• Must be knowledgeable of mediation practices and principles

• Strengths-based assessment and planning
• Communication and ability to relate to diverse groups and manage interpersonal conflict
• Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smartphones and tablets, printers, fax machines, and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs Other Skills
• Must be open and willing to work non-traditional work hours
