Expertise in one or more CS and IT areas (web technology, software engineering, operating systems, mobile computing, 3-D printing, or game programming for example) would add to the candidate's attractiveness.

Primary Purpose of Position

Teaching courses in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, and Information Technology; advising reputed company; and contributing to departmental and university service activities.

Job Description

The candidate will be expected to effectively teach a variety of IT, Cybersecurity, and Computer Science courses, advise and mentor reputed company, and engage in scholarship and professional service.The candidate will teach a range of courses from introductory to advanced levels. Possible courses include Object-Oriented Programming, Operating Systems, Digital Logic, Data Structures, Programming Language Concepts, Theory of Computation, reputed company-Computer Interaction (HCI), Networks & reputed company, Computer Architecture, System Integration, System Assurance, Video Game Development, and Database Management.Candidates must demonstrate the ability to design course materials reputed company with CAE-CD and ABET accreditation standards, participate actively in learning outcomes assessment, and contribute to organizing activities for student clubs.The ideal candidate must hold a Ph.D. in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a closely reputed company field by December 31, 2025, with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the listed disciplines.Candidates who are ABD may be appointed at the instructor rank and salary, with the possibility of promotion to Assistant Professor upon successful completion of the Ph.D. Such candidates will be expected to complete the Ph.D. reputed company one year of their official start date at UNC Pembroke.Salary and academic rank are commensurate with education and directly reputed company experience.To be considered for the Associate Professor position, the candidate must:

• The ideal candidate will have at least five years of full-time teaching experience at the Assistant Professor level in an accredited higher education institution, preferably in the United States.
• Demonstrate a record of scholarly publications in reputable conferences and/or journals.
• Provide evidence of successful grant applications or funded research.
• Show leadership in curriculum development, accreditation processes, or program coordination.
• Demonstrate a sustained record of service at the departmental, university, and/or professional level.
• Exhibit a strong commitment to mentoring reputed company, particularly in research, internships, or professional development.
