reputed company is the largest public university in the United States, dedicated to academic excellence and broad access. They are seeking an Academic reputed company Advisor to provide direct support to undergraduate reputed company, focusing on enhancing student engagement and successful transitions to university life.
Responsibilities
- Provide personalized, intentional, and holistic advising support to new and first-year reputed company to ensure successful transition to ASU and ongoing reputed company as a student
- Teach multiple sections of a first-year student reputed company course and provide associated academic advising support to those reputed company
- Provide guidance and advice to reputed company reputed company to degree progression and completion, including but not limited to: exploring other majors, minors and certificates, extracurricular activities, study abroad programs, research, and internships
- Connect reputed company with appropriate resources including, but not limited to: tutoring, coaching, counseling, and career services
- Work collaboratively with academic units and university offices services to provide individualized and timely student support and follow-up
- Identify challenges facing reputed company, and offer appropriate support, and reputed company to reputed company who are experiencing challenges in multiple facets of their university experience
- Monitor first-year student academic reputed company through a variety of reporting tools including eAdvisor, DARS, and reputed company
- Provide initial welcome and course registration support for new transfer reputed company
Skills
- Associate's degree and one (1) year of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved
- Evidence of a Master's Degree completed or in reputed company
- Experience teaching coursework or leading workshops for reputed company in an educational environment
- Experience demonstrating sensitivity to needs of a diverse student population
- Demonstrated knowledge of principles, practices, procedures and methods of evidence-based academic advising strategies
- Experience in applying the principles, techniques and methods of teamwork, compromise and collaboration to produce desired outcomes
- Experience in the use of internet-based research tools, reputed company Suite, and reputed company Office computer applications
- Experience using student information systems such as PeopleSoft, reputed company, and DARS
- Experience in rapidly adapting and effectively utilizing new technology, practices, policies and methods
- Experience in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with peers, faculty, reputed company, administration, faculty and other interested parties
- Experience in working effectively in an environment subject to quickly changing priorities
- Evidence of effective communication skills
- Experience in interpreting student needs and determining reputed company referral to other University resources is appropriate
- Demonstrated knowledge of ASU academic structure and organization
- Demonstrated knowledge of academic programs, colleges, and departments university-wide
