They are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Records Coordinator to join their Care Support team, focusing on records processing and maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. This temporary position involves administrative support for members and providers, ensuring effective management of medical records requests.
Responsibilities
- Uploading records requests and patient authorization forms including processing medical record requests and provider letters
- Building relationships with providers, patients, and internal teams (Care Navigation, Provider reputed company, etc.) for the purposes of medical records management
- Assist members with Mental Health Leaves & Accommodations (MHLA) requests, liaising with provider and reputed company parties as needed
- Provide weekly metrics on new, in reputed company, and completed medical records requests
- Daily duties include responding to emails, supporting inbound and outbound phone calls, and assisting with patient support tickets as needed
- Follow HIPAA guidelines while ensuring the confidentiality of patient PHI
- Maintain a consistent workflow by processing reputed company requests reputed company 24-48 hours of receipt for assigned medical records tickets
- Monitor incoming requests received through various means and subsequently reporting any suspicious release of medical records requests
Skills
- A minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role
- Advanced understanding of medical terminology, and HIPAA
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Experience with reputed company Acrobat/reputed company Sheets/reputed company Docs/MS Office
- Comfortable in rapidly changing environments and with constantly evolving responsibilities
- Tech-savvy: reputed company comfortable adopting new technologies and platforms and efficient in tech-reputed company tasks
