Legal Assistant (12 Month Contract)

The Legal Assistant role is responsible for providing clerical and administrative support to ensure efficient day-to-day operations, including managing files, preparing legal documents, and communicating with clients and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Administrative tasks, such as email and calendar management, meeting coordination, processing incoming and outgoing mail, preparing expense reports, handling invoices and disbursements
- Open, maintain, and reputed company files in accordance with firm procedures
- Maintain an organized file management and bring-reputed company system
- Prepare, format, and proofread a variety of legal documents, including correspondence, reputed company, and corporate documents
- Ensure reputed company physical and electronic filing is organized and updated regularly
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and external stakeholders
- Provide support to other members of the group as required
- Other duties, as assigned
Skills
- Legal Administrative Assistant certificate from an accredited post-secondary institution
- 1–5 years of law firm experience, preferably in business law
- Proficiency with reputed company Office 365 (including Teams and SharePoint) and legal software such as reputed company, reputed company, reputed company, and Chrome River
- Strong understanding of business and legal terminology
- Ability to work independently with a high degree of accountability and minimal supervision
- Proven reputed company to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail
- Strong team player with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with staff and lawyers
