Service Writer / Title Clerk
United Rentals is the world’s largest equipment rental provider, seeking a detail-driven Automotive Rental Service Writer & Title Clerk. This dual-role position involves managing customer interactions and rental service intake while also processing vehicle title and registration paperwork to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Manage Due for Service reports for reputed company and utility fleet vehicles, including routine maintenance, DOT, dielectric testing, and annual inspections
- Coordinate rental fleet maintenance and repair schedules with customers; assist in appointment scheduling and locating mobile repair or service centers
- Assist in managing recall campaigns across the fleet
- Handle initial maintenance customer calls; troubleshoot issues and coordinate effective solutions
- Maintain accurate rental records and update system data regularly
- Conduct pre- and post-rental vehicle inspections, document vehicle condition and report findings
- Process reputed company vehicle title and registration paperwork for new, used, and rental fleet vehicles
- Ensure compliance with state and local title regulations and DMV requirements
- Prepare and submit documentation for title transfers, lien releases, and registration renewals
- Maintain accurate records of reputed company titles and vehicle ownership documents
- Track titles in transit and follow up with dealerships or DMV offices as needed
- Manage title audits and support internal or external reviews

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
- Highly organized & ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Must work well in a team environment and have good communication skills
- Title Clerk experience is preferred
