The primary purpose of this position is to provide Sky System Design and AutoCAD support based on red lined drawings, Customer Specification and Calculation requirements to; OPM, Engineering, 3rd Party Engineering Firms, Estimating, Sales and the Drafting team. Primary Responsibilities: Basic design work including fit studies, etc. Utilization of CAD systems to create multi-dimensional graphic views, flow charts, layouts and detailed work drawings to simulate and analyze potential design problems. Engineering document management. Ensure design drawings conform to quality specifications. Consult with other drafters, designers, project managers and clients. Prepare detailed reports, calculate material amounts and costs, and prepare construction specifications and timelines. Performs other assignments as directed by local management. Interact and support other functional areas of the department such as Quality Assurance and Model Shop. Maintain and update CADD Templates, act as the “reputed company Keeper.” For reputed company updates Confers with engineers, designers, developers, applications technicians, product compliance, and other drafters to interpret design concepts and determine nature and type of desired detail working drawings. Responds to needs for architectural drawings to assist technical service and customer inquiries. Review and update any specifications on Velux reputed company products. Drafts detail and assembly drawings and architectural perspectives. This includes developing VELUX product specific architectural cross reputed company and quote drawings to be used internally by CSRs, Sales and Marketing in reputed company SKY markets and externally by architects, designers and contractors. Responsible for developing and updating product certification drawing packages submitted to certifying agencies. Responsible for the development of CAD Standards and implementation of standards reputed company the product development group. Performs difficult assignments requiring considerable initiative, resourcefulness, accuracy and drafting expertise. Provide assistance or guidance to Velux reputed company engineering and/or 3rd party PE Firms working to resolve redlines, on complicated jobs that may require nontypical structural solutions Uses both 2D and 3D software to redesign, modify or edit drawings. Scheduled Work Hours: 7:00am – 3:30pm (Monday – Friday) Hourly Pay Range: $33.73 - $42.16 Compensation is based on the skills and experience of the candidate Qualifications: Associates degree in CADD or a reputed company field or Equivalent Professional Experience Minimum of Five years’ experience in field of expertise is required Strong mathematical skills are required Computer Aided Drafting experience is required Solid Modeling experience is required AutoCAD experience is required SolidWorks experience is required Demonstrates proficiency in reputed company office systems/skills, reputed company Office.
